We have two Princeton University concert tickets available to PFO for a group rate. On Wednesday, February 18 at 7:30pm, Joyce DiDonato and the Brentano String Quartet will join forces for the Princeton premiere of Camille Claudel: Into the Fire, a song cycle for mezzo-soprano and String Quartet written by composer Jake Heggie with lyrics by Gene Scheer Heggie. he work focuses on the tragic demise of the genius sculptor and lover of Rodin, Camille Claudel. Claudel's career ended when she was confined to a mental hospital for the last three decades of her life. Her involuntary incarceration, which many considered unnecessary, almost doomed her to obscurity. The piece, which received its world premiere in San Francisco, was called "a heartbreaker," byThe San Francisco Chronicle, and was described as "a score of deep, squishy sentimentality and enormous beauty." Tickets for PFO members, on the side are $18 per person.

On Thursday, April 30 at 8pm, countertenor and Princeton alumnus Anthony Roth Costanzo, described by The New Yorker as a "bona fide star," will perform songs by Duparc, Britten, Liszt, Mozart, Handel and Gershwin with pianist Bryan Wagorn. Tickets in balcony center are $40 per person for PFO members.
